Code of conduct for reviewers

The manuscript reviewers of Anales Médicos are committed to observe the following precepts:

  2. Cordiality
     
  3. Opportunity
     
  4. Objectivity
     
  5. Impartiality
     
  6. Liability
     
  7. Integrity
     
  8. Justice
     

In any case, potential conflicts of interest must be declared. Editors should be aware that the use of artificial intelligence for manuscript review may constitute a breach of confidentiality terms. Reviewers must seek permission from the editor-in-chief if they wish to employ artificial intelligence tools for manuscript review.

They will evaluate the manuscript according to its:
 
  1. Originality
     
  2. Topicality
     
  3. Relevance
     
  4. Clarity
     
  5. Transparency
     
  6. Relevance
     
  7. Scientific contribution
     
  8. Adherence to ethical principles
     
  9. Methodological quality
     
They must report to the editor any suspected misconduct by the authors, such as:
 
  1. Plagiarism
     
  2. Lack of adherence to international ethical considerations in their research development
     
  3. Data fragmentation
     
  4. Manipulation, falsification or appropriation of data, figures, tables, or images
     
  5. Use of materials without authorization from the intellectual author
     
  6. Duplicate or redundant publication
     
  7. Citation tampering, including unwarranted self-citation
     
  8. Omission of relevant information
     
  9. Manipulation in the list of authors
